An Improved Generation:The Sudden Move To Color

Remember when this generation of video games started and all we could see is brown and bloom everywhere? Sure, a few games varied their palettes, but not enough of them tried. A samey look took over and we thought it wouldn't change.

It did. We now have color in our games. Happened so fast I don't think many people remember how it was before the rainbows hit our titles. 

Just take a quick look at these recent titles. 

Torchlight II - For a dungeon crawler, it looks very stylized and bright. Think World Of Warcraft, but more unified rather than rainbow vomit.
