Google Glass Wows at Conference
409 VIEWSThey’ve been the talk of the tech world since the prototype was announced in April. Now they are officially coming on the scene. At the 2012 Google Developer Conference in San Francisco, Google wowed their audience with a new pair of specs. But they are not your usual run-of-the-mill eyeglasses, the Google Glass “Explorer Edition” is a mini computer attached to a pair of glass frames.
With the ability to snap photos and wirelessly display real-time video, the new eyewear is the next big thing. And that is not even the amazing part, the glasses not only have video and photo ability, but they also connect the wearer to the internet. Forget people texting and driving, in the near future, as early as next year, you are going to have to dodge people riding their bicycle and checking their email via the onboard display.
But don’t expect to get a pair when the debut next year, Google is currently only offering orders for the $1,500 glasses from attendees of the three-day conference. So, if you were not there, you’ll just have to wait to try them out. Until then, check out the videos for Google Glass.
