Dragon's Dogma 2: What We Want
841 VIEWS
So, Capcom is thinking about doing more Dragon's Dogma. Good news to me, because not many things are better than a new IP being explored further. We've made a list of stuff they can fix, add, and keep for the next iteration.
Improve the framerate, graphics, etc:
A few parts of the landscape come plagued with a menace more annoying than Snow Harpies: FPS drops. Magick Archers and Magick Knights get it worst, the latter when a Magic Cannon is summoned and beams of light fly everywhere.
Buttery smooth is how the game should run. Especially to help......
Keep the deep combat:
DD's biggest draw is the fighting. Combos, resets (stopping in-between combos in order to start a new one), and tons of intricate attacks keep the battles fresh as the first time. Most RPGs, even of the action sort, don't provide this much level of fun.
Don't let the awesome fighting go to waste. Continue to make this game like Street Fighter and you'll have another hit on your hands.
Smoother traveling:
One of DD's charms is that you have to constantly travel the county. Relying upon fast travel isn't possible, and the only item that can send you back to the main city is hard to come by. The charm wears a bit thin when you've run out of potions and can't take that ogre and his two brothers.
An optional transport would be nice. Maybe hide the new swirly rock to avoid players abusing the system. Give me a better form of travel, but make me earn it.
A real multiplayer mode:
Okay Capcom, you've had your run without multiplayer. That's fine, DD has a lot of work going on. The second game, however, could possibly have some sort of the co-oping.
Imagine, AI Pawns taking over when your friend isn't there. Then, blam, someone joins and takes over that character. Let us choose both the Pawn system or with a human partner and make everyone happy.
