Videogame developer Activision has just released that it plans to release a title based on the upcoming Disney Pixar film Wreck-it Ralph that will be exclusive to Nintendo platforms: Wii, DS and 3DS.

The game is set to feature a classic side scrolling style play reminiscent of the 1980s consoles to which the film pays homage as its protagonist Wreck-it Ralph a virtual bad guy in an 8-bit action chaser classic in the style of Donkey Kong, and the original Mario Bros. minus the super part. In the movie Ralph a videogame villain,  becomes disillusioned with his role in game life and spends the rest of the plot going from game to game in search of his happiness with the help and guidance of classic bad guy "sponsors" such as Bowser from Super Mario Bros. and Zangief of Street Fighter II fame.

The game is expected to include a two-player co-op mode with the Wii version and similar versions were DS and  3DS handhelds. Little else is known at this time, but Activision indicates good expectations. Look out for Wreck-it Ralph coming to both a theater and a Nintendo console near you.
